There's a bun in the oven. Sort of...
We're going to need some more help with mountain or ski area names, this time with a female feel. Baker's long lost (and not very well cared for) sister will be joining the clan in about 2 weeks. The redneck breeder that produced Baker's litter finally sent Baker's mom, Katie, and sister to rescue, so we can hope he won't be dumping any more dogs into the rescue program.
She seems to get along great with Baker, though it looks like she may rule the roost. Baker tried to play tug of war with her favorite toy and she raised her hackles. Baker wanted none of that. We'll see what happens when she's on his territory.
She's very mellow, even though she is the same age as Baker. We were all
standing in the yard talking yesterday and she just wandered off and laid out in the sun - can't say I've ever seen Baker do something like that. At the same time, she's very "velcro" and wants to be in constant contact. She also appears to be a "daddy's girl". She sticks very close to Brad, her foster dad.
So this will be your one opportunity to name our "kids". Again, mountain/northwest/ski area theme:
Shuksan (this fits, because it's a sister peak to Mt. Baker) (Joel's favorite)
Pilchuck
Luna (a North Cascades Peak) (Hun's favorite)
Rainier (Hun's other favorite)
Hoodoo
Alpental (Alpie)
Mazama
Any others?

Her coat isn't in very good shape and she needs to put on a few pounds, so it will be nice to see her get into better shape with a good diet and some love. Her coloring is really light, kind of a milk chocolate color. We think that she will darken up after living indoors for a while and maybe with better food.
